We spent about three or four months working on putting Horse Racing Treasures together . When we started out we thought we would have it together in no time. To our surprise it took a great deal more time, work and effort, not to mention a sizeable investment to get Horse Racing Treasures up and running. Though it has been a lot of work, we have learned a great deal and enjoyed the growth. When it comes right down to it, it has actually been fun. At the end of the day, even though we're tired, it's a good kind of tired for we have created something. Now we have the pleasure of watching it grow.
At the top of each page you see "Lots O Loot", the mare and "Harlequina", the filly. We owned and trained "Lots O Loot" until she was retired to breed. As a brood mare she had two foals. "Harlequina, the second foal, we kept & raced. Mary Ellens' sister Judith & her husband Sal Catanzarite were co-owners & what a proud group we were when "Harlequina" did "Lots O Loot" proud & won a race and broke her maiden. "Harlequina" is the granddaughter of "Seattle Slew", one of the all time greats, both as a runner and a sire.
